Green Poems is a solo-exhibition project by the artist and theater director Elina Kulikova. The project combines a series of installations and video works performed in a sensitive aesthetic. According to the artist's idea, sensitive art is a lacuna in the field of participatory practices, simultaneously combining attention to non-traditional forms of sensory perception, such as olfactory and tactile sensations, as well as the theme of “quiet narratives” and “quiet but sensitive statements”. Making the logic of poetic thinking the mainstream for her artistic practice, each work by Elina can be perceived as a poetic piece created in an alternative technique: olfactory images that the viewer can listen to, interactive albums containing artifacts and personal audio recordings, tactile sculptures of various materials, and found-objects.
The title of the show refers to a variety of contexts: freshness and at the same time inexperience, synesthetic perception and literature. Finally, the theme of the increasing distance between man and nature is claimed, as the idea that nature began to be perceived as a true miracle today.
